Jacquesson Cuvee 747 Extra Brut
Champagne Jacquesson is a Champagne producer in Dizy in the Marne Valley (just north of Épernay), with a relatively short history going back to 1978. The estate has had a rapid rise to prominence: in the 2005 La Revue Des Vins De France, Jacquesson was rated third best of all houses after Bollinger and Krug.
Review
"Based on the 2019 vintage, the NV Extra-Brut Cuvée No. 747 reveals a lively, delicate bouquet of white pepper, tangerine, lemon oil, herbs and red berries mingled with lovely menthol notes. Medium to full-bodied, tense and sappy, it's layered with a vinous core of fruit and a delicately saline finish. This is not the most opulent iteration from this house but rather an edition that closely reflects the character of the vintage, marked by its tension and phenolic complexity.” - 93+pts, Robert Parker
