Etienne Sauzet Batard-Montrachet 2022

Etienne Sauzet is an estate based in the Puligny-Montrachet sub-region of Burgundy and is renowned for producing some of the most prized Chardonnay in the world.  Their elegant wines can be extremely difficult to source and in particular those from the world acclaimed Montrachet region.

"Fresh colour, lemon and lime, not massive at all in bouquet but I am learning not to expect that chez Sauzet. A broad beamed intensity on the palate, this almost seems uncouth after the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, but it still has its finesse. A light oatmeal touch from young (but not new) wood, and a great deal in reserve." - 94-97pts, Jasper Morris
