Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut Millesime 2013
Dom Ruinart was one of the first Champagne houses. Ruinart owns vineyards across the region, predominately in the Cotes de Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The house style is Pinot-Noir dominant, but the flavour profile tends to favour Chardonnay. The prestige cuvee is a Blanc de Blancs, entirely from Grand Cru vineyards.
Review
"Oyster shell and a stony minerality on the nose, with salted butter and fresh croissants. Hints of white truffle, vanilla, white chocolate and vanilla-bean custard. Creamy, yet racy and very bright, with lively acidity and a long, structured finish.” - 97pts, JamesSuckling.com
