Coche-Dury Volnay 2016

Domaine Coche-Dury produces tiny yields of some of the very greatest white wines in Burgundy, probably the most sought-after of all white Burgundy estates. It has even achieved a cult status!  Described by Robert Parker as one of the "greatest winemakers on planet earth", they are known for producing exceptionally intense, powerful and long-lived wines.

"However, it is brilliant on both the nose and palate, with the complex bouquet offering up scents of red and black cherries, plums, raw cocoa, pigeon, chalky minerality, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully suave on the attack, with a sappy core of fruit, beautiful soil signature, fien-grained tannins and a very long, complex and vibrant finish.
