Aalto is a Ribera del Duero estate known for its varietal red wines made from Tempranillo.  Its top bottling PS is released in tiny quantities and only in the best vintages and is widely considered one of Spain's greatest wines.

”The Aalto Pagos Seleccionados (PS) is always a more powerful, classical Ribera del Duero made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) sourced from very old vines - 60-90 years old - in the villages of La Horra and La Aguilera. Qualitatively it sits with the likes of Vega Sicilia and Pingus, but at a snip of the price! Raised in new French oak for 21 months the Aalto PS is dark fruited with flowers dusted in coffee and chocolate, a certain stony minerality and spice. Best broached after a minimum of five years in bottle. Raised in new French oak for 21 months."
