"The 2018 Clos des Lambrays is also outstanding in 2018 and I have to imagine that this was one of the first wines picked chez Taupenot in this vintage. The very complex nose delivers an aromatic constellation of dark berries, cassis, French roast, beautifully complex, savory elements, a gorgeous base of dark soil tones, a touch of mustard seed and a suave foundation of new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very elegant for a 2018, with a fine core of fruit, superb length and grip and a lovely chassis of fine-grained tannins perking up the very complex finish. This is a first class example of the vintage." - 95pts
