"The pale- to medium-ruby-colored 2018 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve des Célestins is a total knockout with a wildly complex aromatic profile of dried lavender, menthol, melted licorice, beef blood, cured meat and leafy nuances. Offering more substance and ambition than the Marie Beurrier from the same vintage, the full-bodied 2018 Réserve des Célestins shows striking verticality on both nose and palate.
