Gaja is one of the best known wine brands in Italy and indeed the world with their predominately Nebbiolo based wines from Barbaresco.  Many of their top wines in great vintages are prized.

"The 2022 Barbaresco Sori San Lorenzo is more contemplative of a wine, with aromas of deeper spice and an earthier component compared to the Tildin, but as it opens, it takes on pure notes of cherry liqueur, preserved orange, and forest earth. The palate is elegant but with a velvety texture upfront, even freshness, with a deeper richness to its texture.
