Coche-Dury Volnay Premier Cru 2015

Domaine Coche-Dury produces tiny yields of some of the very greatest white wines in Burgundy, probably the most sought-after of all white Burgundy estates. It has even achieved a cult status!  Described by Robert Parker as one of the "greatest winemakers on planet earth", they are known for producing exceptionally intense, powerful and long-lived wines.

"The 2017 Volnay 1er Cru is a blend of Taillepieds and Clos des Chênes, and it is showing brilliantly, offering up a deep bouquet of ripe wild berries, dark chocolate, rich soil tones, spices and peonies. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a more reserved profile than the domaine's other reds this year, its deep core of sapid fruit framed by powdery tannins and lively acids." - 94pts, Robert Parker
